International Student Travelling from UK to Canada

Hello, I'm currently a Post graduate student in the UK from Nigeria. Will like to visit canada this summer to visit my girlfriend who is canadian, and i will be sponsoring myself. But i really don't know the documents required to obtain my Visit Visa. I have been on the cic.gc.ca website to get information but nothing substantial. Please i will appreciate any pointers.
