Getting Worried About Spouse Visa Application for my Wife

I'll keep it brief and get to facts. I am UK Citizen - just married my Iranian wife who is here in the UK on a student visa which runs until 2013, although she doesn't plan to carry on studying, or plans at least to switch courses.

We're applying for a spouse visa for her.

2 things concern me - the wording of paragraph 284 HC 395 is very unclear. Her visa is for more than 6 months and has more than 6 months to run - but what if she finishes studying - in that case her visa would only be pracitacclly valid for another 2 months as she would no longer be enrolled.

2nd the financial test. My income is low, although I can support us without recourse to public funds - however I have read on other forums figures required for income per week which I only just meet thanks to help from my parents. But I have also read that 3rd party support doesn't count for this test.

She should be able to switch. Third-party support is possible.

yes I've done more research and see now that 3rd party support is possible - I was stressed as Paragraph 284 HC 395 about the 6 month period is so badly worded - I am finally satisfied that it means the person must have a visa valid for more than 6 months from when they enter - NOT that they 6 months left on the visa.
