wt shud v do when degree is not received

My husband did MSc but he has not received his degree. I have heard about initial application. is it possible that he can make that? What should he do now his visa is expiring on 31st august. is there any way by which he can apply while being in uk or he wl have to come back to wait for degree so that he can apply for psw from outside uk.
What options we have in the current situation

Initial application is merely referring to people who do not qualify under the transitional arrangements for people who currently have leave under one of the PSW predecessor categories (such as IGS) but were granted less than two years. Initial applications are not for people who dod not meet the rules for PSW.

When you say he has not recieved his degree do you mean he has not received his certificate?

Has he been told his final results yet?

actually he has received results of his exams but not the dissertation so he has not got his degree. Thanks for info. I think he will have to come back till he gets degree as you are saying that he cant make initial application . Am i right?

no he can't make an initial application if he hasn't been awarded his degree. if he won't be awarded before 31st Aug he should return home and apply from there once he meets the rules.
