Public funds

Post by momer79 » Mon Aug 21, 2006 4:21 pm

Hi all,

Thanxs for your reply.

I am in process of applying 2 yr marriage visa. I living in uk on student visa.

Can anyone guide me about public funds? I am working 20 hrs for Barclay bank and earning 650 pounds per month and my wife is getting public funds:

1. Income based Job seeker allowance
2. Disability living allowance

I need to know that should i apply for visa OR my wife stop her JSA first then i apply (she cant stop DLA) ?

Incase of stopping JSA, my earning and bank statement woud be enough to prove that i can support myself and any dependant?

Earning = 650 pounds per month
Bank statement = £3500

Can Home Office raise the issue that i dont have enough money to support my family?

I can easily live in £650 without claiming public funds.

Regards

Is your wife a British citizen or an ILR holder?
