revisit after expiry of family visitor visa

Post by ramad » Sun Aug 21, 2011 9:54 am

I want my parents to revisit me in the UK.They had applied as a family visitor with my husband as sponsor and were provided a 6 months visa.Out of the six months they have been in UK for approx 2.5 months.I want them to reapply with me as sponsor now since I have ICT Tier 2 visa. Is it possible that they reapply immediately after going back to India or is a cooling period necessary. If anyone has had an experience with this, please share. What are the chances that their visa application will be successful considering that they would have just returned back to India from the UK ( however been there only for 2.5 months out of the 6 months awarded and will have a different sponsor this time)

There is no mandatory waiting period and they can apply for a new visa at any time but what convincing reasons will they give for wanting to return to the UK so soon after a previous visit? The decisions to issue visit visas are discretionary and often arbitrary, based on the circumstances and situation (of which we on this forum know nothing). I do not think anyone can tell you for sure of their chances even if you do reveal this information. Good luck.
