Need help regarding an old immigration file

Post by dr.akram » Mon Aug 22, 2011 1:35 am

Hello,
I applied for irish citizenship in 1989 and my process completed to the point where I received my interview call. But due to family crisis in my home country I had to unfortunately leave Ireland one week before my interview call. Right now all my kids who are Irish by birth are settled in Ireland. My question is, can my case file be opened again. I am trying to find a job in Ireland but have not been successful so far.

I am visiting Ireland next year but just needed a heads up before contacting the solicitor if there was any luck with my old file. My children are all Irish born and are right now living in Ireland. What does Irish law say about applying for your parents as dependents. My elder daughter works with allied bank and owns a house. Can she apply for me and if yes, how long is the procedure?
