Need Advice: Malaysian Dating a Spanish, Living in the UK

Post by terrenie » Mon Aug 22, 2011 10:05 am

Hello everyone.
I am from Malaysia and I met my boyfriend through training when i was in UK.
He has been in the UK for the past 10 years.
I wondered what kind of visa i can apply for if i intend to stay with him in the UK.
I have also come across the EEA Family Permit, does that mean i need to apply for it before applying to stay in UK?
and also is there any way i can come to UK to work on my own if there is no relevant visa for me to apply?
Let me know
Thanks so much :D

How long have you been living with your boyfriend (if at all)?

Are there any plans to marry?

What is your current visa status in the UK?

im in malaysia currently, been flying almost every 3 months.
Not sure about marriage plans coz its only 6 months we have known each other.
i have only been trying to secure a job by looking through the websites and keep on applying on my own.
civil partnership is for same sex only right..
thanks kitty but i know i have been troublesome for you..
anyway is there any how, to get a job , is there any possibility without depending on my boyfriend?
thanks so much :D

Have you got any qualifications or special skills? It's very hard to secure a stay based on employment. Otherwise you can try for a student visa (tier 4). Your chances of staying on your own merit are limited I'm afraid.
I tell it like it is.
