PEO selection - Solihull vs Croydon

Post by farrukh » Sun Aug 21, 2011 5:55 pm

Hi all

I am applying for my ILR and my case is covered by HSMP JR as I applied for HSMP pre Nov 2006. Also got married this year and my wife joined me couple of months ago. Now i am clear that i dont have to take like in UK test and similarly dependent doenst have to complete 2 years before qualifying for ILR.

Now, i want advise from you guys in terms of PEO selection. Since the case is covered by JR and therefore its not very straightforward. It seems like some of the case workers arent very clear on the rules. Do you guys think its better to book at Croydon as they deal with more applicants rahter than at Solihull ?

Hope to hear from some one soon.

Cheers

To me, your case looks quite straightforward (I assume that your wife' immigration status here is a (HSMP JR) dependant of yours).

Anyway, I'd recommend Solihull. About a month ago I had the same dilemma myself and decided to go to Solihull (mostly following positive feedback posted by many here). In short:
- the PEO itself is quite small but not crowded at all (actually it was quite empty that time);
- staff is indeed very friendly;
- the cases are usually considered quickly (our applications - WP holder with 2 dependants, including over 18 child - were processed in about 20-25 min);
- there is a nice shopping mall around, so you can "relax a bit" while waiting for collection of your passports with ILRs (it usually takes about 2 hours);
- most importantly and contrary to Croydon, they do FIRST check your application thoroughly and only THEN ask you to pay the fees.
