my turkish husband

Post by sarah130179 » Tue Aug 23, 2011 11:27 am

I am British citizen married to Turkish citizen. We have a child. I am on social security benefits. My husband is in Turkey.

How can I bring him to live with me in the UK?

What you claim in benefit, and the benefit for your child, does not necessarily exclude your husband from applying for a spouse visa. The essential point is that he should be able to show that he could support himself if he came to the UK, and that you would not need to claim any extra support or accommodation because of him. This page of the UKBA website explains what is regarded as benefits/public funds:-
