ILR

Post by fandango » Mon Aug 29, 2011 3:50 pm

hi, now that my husband's ILR is granted, I seem to remember that the last time we flew and waited in the "foreign queue back to England" (I am British and I waited with him, that the woman said we no longer have to complete a Landing Card and also that my husband can queue in the English queue to come back to the country - is this true? I ask cos my husband is due to fly alone in a month or so and just wants to do it all correct. Thanks very much, JO.

Yes, landing card
Yes, Non UK/EU/EEA Line (but if traveling with other family members who are British or EU/EEA may use the UK/EU/EEA line on a discretionary basis)

I'm a non EEA spouse married to EEA and I just came back from a trip abroad where I didn't have to fill in the landing card and I used the UK/EU line with no questions asked by the IBA.

Correct, because you are on the European track and don't fall under UK immigration rules, but those are not the circumstances of the person who asked the question in this thread and to which I was responding.
