Funds from parents

Hi all,

I am aware that for a Tier 4 VISA, proof of funds can come from someone else's account (i.e. parents), as long as they write a statement that the funds are being made available to you.

Can the same be done for Post Study Work?

I called the UK Border Agency general enquiry line and they seemed uncertain.
