PSW Dependant

Hello All,

My PSW expires in Feb 2012 and I want to go on a dependant on my partner's PSW. I have a few doubts that I cannot seem to find answers for. they are as follows:

1) Can I apply from UK or do I have to go back to my home country (India) and apply from there?

2) Is marital status an issue if we can provide a paper trail, emails, bank account (joint) statements and rent receipt for more than 2 years of living together in the UK?

3)How does the maintenance funds thing work? DO I need to keep money in UK or does my indian account need to have a certain amount of rupees in it?

PLease help me with this...I'm at my wits end trying to find an answer to these questions.

I have tried calling UKBA and asking them about this, they have told me to apply from home country and that marital status is not an issue as long as there is proof.

I however have found an application form on the ukba website for dependant migrants on the points based system for tier 1. I now suppose this is not for PSW!?

Please guide me through this mess.

To apply for dependant visa under PSW, you have to apply it from outside UK.

as far as i know
ur first question answer is u can not switch to dependent within uk any more,
u have to go back to ur coountry to apply as dependent,

i m not sure about ur second question,
but for 3rd question , i think the account has to be under ur name, it doesnt matter which part of world u held the money, so basically u can show ur bank statment from back home as well as bank statment frm uk.
but plz wait for experts advice as well.
