SET (M) postal waiting times

Firstly sorry if this has been posted before.
Did a quick search and came up short on answers.

Applied for my SET (M) via post on 12/08/2011. My partner received a confirmation of receipt letter.

I have called the info-line and they stated that they cannot disclose anything for 12 weeks.

The issue is that my Mum is getting remarried back home in Australia in December and my partner and I have already book our flights for the 16th of December.

Just wanting some reassurance if I can, that I'll make the flight!!
