marriage certificate from pakistan acceptable in UK?

Hi Guys,

just a small question, I got married in pakistan and got a nikkah certificate from there which is translated in english too.
would that be acceptable in the Uk or I have to register the wedding in england too to make sure our marriage is regd in this country?

My wife wants to change her sur name too. do we need to apply for registry or there is any other way too?

and if your opinion is to register in England too,
when you go for the appointment, what sort of questions do they ask you in interview ( Registrar )
