Switching from Work permit to Tier1 Dependent

Hi Guys,

I am on Tier1 (General) and My wife is working in UK on work permit. And as her visa is going to end, she would like to switch to Tier1 Dependent.Please let me know if this can be applied inside UK or she needs to go out of UK and apply.

She needs to apply outside the UK.

I don't think that its necessary for her to go out of U.K.
She should be able to apply from here itself.

The application form for applying dependant visa from U.K or outside U.K is same.
You could apply for it from U.K. itself. Give a quick call to home office to confirm this.

I heared that there might be a new rule change in pipeline by which Tier1 dependent visa holders wont be able to work .Is this true.
