ILR granted @ Croyden PEO :-) - Application SET (M)

Post by chellebell1985 » Mon Oct 03, 2011 6:03 pm

Hello Everyone

I am still in a bit of shock as we were very apprehensive about this application due to the problems we had in obtaining the two year marriage visa which took a total of 10 months from application to passport being stamped.
This forum has been such a huge help to me in applying for my husbands ILR, so its only fair i post the details for others reference!

I provided the following documents -

- My payslips dating back a year, i also included a letter from my company confirming that our payslips are issued via PDF as they were print outs.

-My employment contract

-Joint bank account statements covering full 2 year period

-ISA confirmation - i do not recieve statements for my ISA however i provided the account documentation and on the appendix i attached to the front of the application i indicated that regular payments into this account could be seen on the joint account statements.

-Applicants bank account statements covering full 2 year period - Hubby is self employed so keeps this seperate account for accounting reasons.

-Applicants invoices for work undertaken 2010/2011 - was a bit worried about this one as my husband had misplaced alot of these could only find two for 2011 and one for 2010, the immigration officer asked about this but was satisfied when we produced 2 national insurance contribution bills for 2009/2010 that were in our suportting documents.

- Life in UK pass letter

-Letter from Landlord, we have lived with a relative for the past 2 years, i made sure that it clearly stated what we pay for our double room.

-2 x Applicants T-Mobile bills, the first one after the contract was taken out (2009) and the most recent.

-Voters Registration Form, From the council confirming who lived at our address

-P45, an old P45 of mine that was dated midway through the 2 year period

-Marriage Certificate

I also wrote a note at the bottom of the appendix stating : although we have no correspondence from our GP we are registered with them and provided the surgery contact details in support of our application.

And that was that, the immigration officer asked only about my husbands invoices, we were sent off to wait for an hour, 2 hours later we were called to collect the passport with the residence stamped inside :D
I know some people might think i provided far to many documents with the statements and payslips, however i think this went in our favour as the officer was able to skim through them and select the ones he wanted to process.

Hope this helps anyone about to apply good luck people!!
