Question about YMS confirmation email

Post by fredler01 » Mon Oct 03, 2011 6:02 am

Hi,

I applied for the YMS online via the Visa4UK website (the official one run by the UK Border Agency) a week ago. After completing the application and printing it out (the printed VAF9 form with all the details filled in), I came to a page that told me I would receive an email confirming my application. It's been a week now, I've already paid the fee and had my biometrics taken and still I haven't received any confirmation email of my application, other than the page on the site that said my application was successfully completed. Granted I paid by credit card, so it took a few days for the payment to clear. I assumed that I would receive the email once payment cleared, but still nothing. I've already posted my application and documents and haven't received any email that they have been received either. I don't know what's going on and have no way of tracking the progress of my application.

Is this situation common or should I have received these emails already? What can I do?

How did you manage to book and attend a biometrics appointment without giving your unique reference number?

Hi, Lukapooca, I did have my unique reference number. Both a reference number for my application, and one for my biometrics appointment. Both of these were given on the page that had the link to print my online application form.
