Tier 1 extension - Intitial entry to Uk Late by 4 months

Hi All ,

I am posting this as My search for the below questions in an ample amount of time proved vain .


details are
HSMP granted from feb 2008 to feb -2010
but I had entered Uk by june 2008

Extension on tier 1 granted from feb 2010 to feb 2013

1. On my extensions in feb 2013 ,would I be going for another 1 extension filling the gap for 4 months?
2.if yes do I need to use the same tier 1 general applicatoin ?
3. on 4 months completion on extension thereby completing the 5 years continuous residence ,Can I apply for settlement ?

Restricting this to the current rules now in 2011 rather than any rules that may apply in 2013:

1. Yes, you need to make another extension.
2. There is only one application form and it's available on the UKBA site.
3. You can apply for settlement no earlier than 28 days before the fifth anniversary of the date of your arrival in the UK.
