MN1 Form

Post by jaffar » Sat Oct 08, 2011 8:23 am

Hi All

I would be grateful to members,if they advice me regarding my question.

Myself and wife(BothIndian) got ILR in Aug 24th 2011 and we r blessed with baby girl last month 3rd week born in uk.I would like to know whether we need to apply for registration using MN1 Form or apply directly for british passport for our daughter.

Thank you for your advice

Given that ILR was granted before the birth of the baby, and the baby was born in the UK, she was British from the moment of birth.

Accordingly there is no need to use form MN1, and a British passport can just be applied for.

Nothing at all to do with your immigration background, but getting a photo for the passport of such a young baby can be problematic. Have a read of this guidance.
