Maternity and Tier 1 Extension

Post by t1ge » Mon Oct 10, 2011 2:31 pm

Hi Group,

My Tier 1 General validity period: Jan 2011 to Jan 2013

I am working for a client through umbrella company from May till Oct 2011.
I will be on maternity period from November 2011 till April 2012 and I wouldn't paid for it and my extension is in Jan 2013. Hope to find new client after my maternity period.

Is it possible to claim this maternity as exemption and produce employment letter from my Umbrella company for my extension. Or should I be in permanent employment with a company to avail this exemption.

Much appreciate your suggestions.
