FLR(M) queries

Hi Guys,

I bought Gold worth £5,200 back in July 11, got the receipt with me and gifted it to my wife, can I use this as savings? as i am going to be applying flr(m) in 2 months time.

i am applying on the basis of my wife who is a british citizen

No you cant use the gold as savings unless you sell the gold and the cash you receive from it, is then transferred to a saving account. Its very unlikely a woman would sell her gold in the first place anyway.

thanks for the reply. i have posted two other comments in other related posts regarding my application. i would be grateful if you can answer those. one being maintance funds and the other is a question regarding finger scan taken before, in my case it was june 07 in khi, pakistan but id ont remember the exact date.

the other question is regarding maintenance

Maintenance funds:
My company lawyer said that your case is not straight forward due to the reason that yourwife (brit citizen) is not working and is a full time student and she cannot provide anything to support you
where as I thought that income from both of us will be considered... would that be a problem if she isnt working? i am an accountant and earning good money and we are not receiving any public funds and i am capable of suporting both of us , paying council tax bills and rent from my main bank account ( receiving salary into this one ) and still saving money every month

Hi all

Just a question which is killing me for past few days
i am due to apply in jan 12


my wife is british citizen and is a student and i am on work permit working as an accountant. will my income be assessed and will be okay? as I am sure they look at income from both sponsor and applicant? I hope to hear something back soon since this forum has always been helpful for others who need help

also if possible can anyone provide me sample of cover letter please and is anyone in the same situation as i am ( sponsor british citizen, student and not working and applicant working )
