TIER1 Extensions(Query regarding Earnings)

Hi Gurus,

This is a great forum and 2.5 years back this is the forum which helped me in securing TIER1 visa.Now I have TIER1 extension in June2012.I am going to apply for Extension in May2012 and I need to show earnings of 30k to get my extension.So I have to show earnings from Mar2011 to Apr2012.But I faced job loss for 2 months(Aug and sep2011).As I didn't have earnings for Aug and sep2011,I am falling short in total earnings to be shown.Can I show earnings in Jan and Feb2011 to cover the 2 months(Aug and sep2011) earnings gap?When I read the rule it says it has to be 12 consecutive months and must normally fall within the 15 months.My understanding is that I am loosing 2 months earnings here because of 12 consecutive months condition.Could somebody help me whether my understanding is correct or not so that I can raise my earnings(Thru part time) in the next five months to reach the threshold.
