Unmarried Partner - Dependent for Tier-1 G Visa holder

Post by teddy0409 » Wed Sep 07, 2011 4:17 pm

Dear All,
I currently hold Tier-1 G visa,
I have proposed to apply for my girl friend's dependent visa this october,
We both are living together for last 5 years in UK, [in Student/PSW visas]
We have all the bills for the last 5 years with us,
[Including NHS,Council Taxes, Bank Statements, Utility Bills],
We can also show our joint photographs for past years,

She will be going back to home country and apply from there next month to join with me as Tier-1 G Dependent,

My question is,
(a) We are not married, will this have any impact in the visa application, ihave anybody experienced refusal or delay?

(b) Only few bills are in our joint names, the rest of them are in separate names.
[However, on the same house address for last 5 years]

(c) I have maintained enough funds for last 6 months, do we need to have any joint deposits to show our money wise commitments?

Awaiting your response,
Kind Regards

1. No. Unmarried partner is amongst those considered as "dependant".
2. Refer to FLR(M) form to understand the sort of documentary evidence(s) UKBA accepts as proof of cohabitation.
3. No. Maintenance fund in the account of principal migrant is fine.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
