ILR for child of permenant resident.

Post by las7 » Mon Nov 07, 2011 8:14 pm

Hi,
I am on ILR since Jan.2011. My wife and daughter have limited leave to remain as my dependents since April 2011. Until then my wife had an independent HSMP and my 5yr old daughter was her dependent. My daughter was born outside of UK but has been resident in the UK for the last 4.5 years. My wife has been resident in the UK for the last 8 years except for 7-months maternity leave outside. We are exploring the quickest way to get ILR/citizenship for our daughter. My queries are:

1. Does my daughter qualify for ILR as my dependent now, or does she have to complete 2 years as my dependent per se first (irrespective of being in the UK for the last 4.5 years)?
2. Woulod she qulify for citizenship with me next year (having completed 3 yrs in the UK), or has she got to have ILR first?

Please help.
Many thanks in advance.
Las
