CRB check

Post by jonny4acre » Fri Nov 11, 2011 1:31 pm

Hi all :D

My wife and I got married recently and currently live together in London. We are about to apply for a uk spouse visa for her using the FLR(M) form.

Does anyone know if a CRB check is required. She doesn't have any criminal convictions but do UKBA need proof or do they run checks themselves?

Thanks John

On their own.

One may apply for a basic CRB check to know for himself / herself if there is any unspent convictions against him/her. UKBA doesn't require that the applicant gets a CRB check done and include the certificate with the application.
