Getting married after COA abolishion

Post by M999 » Sun Nov 13, 2011 4:42 pm

Hi guys

I've got some questions and I would appreciate if someone could make they clear for me.

I'm a Brazilian and my fiancee is English and we going to getty married in few weeks, my tourist visa expired years ago so we couldn't make it however after the COA'S abolition we decided to go to the Register Office to give notice of our wedding.

I've to admit that was scaring even though we have good proofs that we're genuine couple. I even took some proofs with me but the Register Office staffs didn't even look at it, they sad to me that this is between me and the Home Office.

The man was really cool and I've the impression that he trusted us but I'm still thinking about the wedding day.

Would there any chance the Home Office turn up on my wedding day?
I'm getting married in a hotel with many guests, family, friends...Would be really bad with that happens.

Second, after the wedding I'm going back to Brazil to make my application(this is the only way) and I think I've god changes to get it as we've enough proofs, however would be a problem when they notice I've got married in England while I was an illegal or it doens't make any difference on they decision?

Thanks a lot in advance, this forum is awesome.
