Many thanks to all members of this forum who answered my questions while i am preparing the ILR doucmentation.
I got my ILR from Croydon PEO on Tuesday.
I applied under JR Pre November 2006 rules.
I got my first HSMP visa in December 2006 and didn't had a job until June 2007. No gaps since in employment.
My appointment was at 11.15, we were allowed in at 10.35, in the ground floor they checked all our documents and they asked me
> if i have been economically active for the past 5 years, i said YES.
> At any one point have i been out of country for 90 days at a starch , my answer is NO.
After making payment i waited in first floor.
I was called by the case worker at 11.20, he asked to give all the documents i have, (i had two files, one with photocopies and other with originals), i gave him both the files.
He took photo copies of my last 6 months payslips, 4 years p60's, employer letter from my file.
In less than 20 minutes that is by 11.40 he told me that he is granting ILR for both me and my wife (even though she is in UK for less than an year).
No questions asked why i didn't had a job for the first 6 months. (i took all interview confirmation emails to prove that i been looking for jobs)
This is the documents i took with me.
Employer letter,
P60's 4 years ,
payslips 12 months,
Bankstatements 12 months,
cohab documents,
and excel sheet with details about my absences ( i had a total of 145 days)
so for anyone on Tier1 or HSMP visa, my understanding is that even if you didn't had a job for the first 6-7 months, it should be ok.
My advice would be to prepare the documentation well and organized that is ..
>> take photo copies of all the documentation you have
>> worth taking two files one with originals and other with photocopies,
>> Prepare a excel or word document with list of absences (including passport page numbers)
He thanked me for taking all the photocopies with me and filling in the excel sheets with absences including departure arrival dates with passport page numbers
If anyone of you have any questions, i am happy to answer.
Good Luck

Best regards,
KA
