Dependent VISA Stamped in India is there time limit to bring

Post by nandidk » Tue Nov 22, 2011 2:11 pm

Hi, I am single parent and my children (aged 16+ and 12+) got ILR VISA stamped in India. Since 5 years they have not visited me where I used to visit India. Though I want to bring them immediately to UK because of academic problems. I want to postpone the trip of my children for 2 or 3 months. Is that fine or I should bring them to UK immediately.
regards
Nandi

They would have been issued ILE from India, not ILR.
They can enter UK anytime before the expiry date given on the vignette (which should be the same as expiry date of their passport, assuming ILE was issued).

You haven't stated your own immigration status in the UK so no one can tell you whether they have been issued a "dependant visa" (which you state in the subject title) or ILE. So do check.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

My VISA Status is ILR and next month I will be getting citizenship in UK.
