Returning to UK with tier 4 visa after completion of course

I have a tier 4 visa valid till 31/01/2012. Currently I am outside UK and I have completed my course. I left UK in connection with my research project which is conducted in my home country. I could not return to UK immediately after the completion of the research due to my fathers medical condition. I need to go to UK for collecting my personal stuff, clearing my student bank account etc. by the middle of December 2011.
Will it be OK to travel on my tier 4 visa?
