Non EU passport holder child travelling with British parents

Hi,

I was wondering whether a British child (no British passport yet but holding a valid non-EU passport with ILR on it) can travel to EU zone with her parents who are travelling with their British passports.

She will still need a visa (if she is a visa national) even if her parents are British as she is not.

UPDATE: Same goes if she is British but is not holding a valid passport.
