Spouse on Visit Visa

This is most important question relating to Immigration Law.

I am here in UK with my family on visit visa, my wife and a daughter are British nationals.

We married in Pakistan, We applied for my daughter’s (1 year old) passport from Pakistan. When we reached here for visit purpose and found that my wife is two months pregnant and unfortunately fell down from the stairs. Obviously I can't leave my wife in this critical condition. Her pregnancy is always very critical and multiple problems.

Is it possible to apply for spouse visa in UK under some critical conditions? If yes , then how much pecent chances to win my case here under discretionary leave. What are the cons n pros of discretionary leave? How long it takes after applying?
