Tier 1 General Extension

Post by sirrichie203 » Fri Dec 09, 2011 1:13 pm

Dear All,

I am extending my Tier 1 general visa next week and I have two questions that I need your assistance:

1) Do I need to submit all my educational certificates again? If not please can you send me a link to this?

2) I have an MBA that I am using to claim points on education, can I use the same qualification for my english qualification?

I need your assistance.

Thank you.

1. You donot need to resubmit all your documents. Just tick that evidence provided with initial application. You, however, have to fill in the details of your qualification in the relevant section.

2. What qualification you have used to prove your english ability at first time? Use the same again, and tick the box that evidence provided with initial application.
The question is... to be or not to be....

Thank you for the quick response. With regards to the english, the truth is I have forgotten the schools I used. I have a lot of qualifications and sadly I did not make a photocopy of the first application!

For english language you do not have to advise them details of your qualification. One tick will solve your problem. Please look at form again...

Applicant is currently in the United Kingdom as a Tier 1 (General) migrant, or as a Highly Skilled Migrant Programme participant and has previously satisfied the English Language requirement
Go to L7 and tick the box. Thats it. Done

Thank you for the response.

Please can you check from L English Language. You'll realise that what you suggested relates to English Language Test.

mine is Degree taught in English.

It is the same thing. Even you claimed points for the degree taught in English language for claiming your point of language ability. You will tick L7. Because you had already provided the english language ability with your initial application. They have a record of everything and since you have stated that you have many qualification, producing a new one could result in opening new queries. So just tick L7 as I did when I applied for my Extension...and no questions asked by UKBA.
The question is... to be or not to be....

All my documents are ready for submission. I was told yesterday by a friend that I can only submit it 28 days prior to the exparation of my visa.

Is this true?

Any link to that?

You may apply whenever you wish to, but do read this topic.
