2 years evidence of living together

Post by azmi007 » Fri Dec 09, 2011 11:27 am

Hi All,

Just a query regarding the ILR (HSMP+WP) to be applied in June 2012.

I do not have much evidence to prove the two years living together other than annual water bills under both of our names. Also some letters from DPWP (NI application).

Will this be an issue? And any ways to overcome this?

The reason for this situation is due to some advice recieved which they said for HSMP, they do not check these. Last month my very best friend applied in Croydon (1 day) and he was not asked at all. Also same with few other friends except one. Am confused.

Many Thanks in advance.

Dear azmi007,

To establish your cohibitance certain documents are required. These many include;

Bank Statements
Credit Card Statement
Council tax bills
Water Bills
TV Licence
DVLA papers
Accountant Letters
GP Letters
Pay Slips
Tenency Agreement
Catelogue letters
Letters from friends
Any other document, you received by post. That has your address on it.

Please note that if you have three documents with both of your names, it will be fine. Otherwise, try to gather six different letters or documents.

And make sure that all of these documents should be in the past two years.
The question is... to be or not to be....

I think if you submit the documents you have on common names along with 4 or 5the documents in your wife's name from past two years, you should be fine.

I went for Same Day service at Croydon two weeks back and i had to remind the case worker about the co-habitation documents. he never asked for it.
