spouse visa husband on disability allowance

Post by johno » Sun Dec 11, 2011 3:02 am

Hi I just need s bit of advice.I am on work permit visa but currently unemployed (actively seeking employment) my husband a british citizen was working but due to an accident he is off now and he is claiming disability allowance for himself. Our house is a council house .it was in my husbands name then he added me to it.my husband also claims working tax credit and child benefit for our son and my daughter from previous relationship.my daughter is not intiteld to public funds but we were told that as long as my husband looks after her he could apply for her.
we currently do not have any. savings at all and I cant find a job.we have together for 3 yrs and got married in August this year.we want to apply for a spouse visa because we are both not working I don't know if we can get a a spouse visa in our situation.any advise is welcome. Thanks

Ps I am a qualified nurse but there are no jobs currently where we leave and I cannot work for am agency because of my current visa restrictions

Would my husband claiming housing and council benefit affect our application
