Applying for Indefinate Leave to Stay

Post by January » Sun Dec 25, 2011 12:58 pm

Hi All,
We need to apply for ILR in Feb 2012. Our current visa expires on 5th March 2012.

Can you please advice on the below?

1. We can not find an appointment date at Croydon withn 28 days of 5th March 2012. What can we do?
2. My kids were born here in the UK. Do we need to apply for them along with us? Please note that their visa also expires on 5th March 2012.

Thanks,
Jan

On what basis are you applying for ILR? That is, what current visa is held?

As regards your questions, using your numbering :-
  1. Try another PEO? Or apply by post?
  2. A question for you, following you getting your ILR, do you intend to promptly make section 1(3) applications to Register the born-in-the-UK children as British Citizens? If yes, don't bother to get them ILR, such visas would be irrelevant to those section 1(3) entitlement applications.

Unless the system has changed recently, appointment slots are only shown six weeks ahead.
