Home Office Reference Number for Life in the UK test..

Hi,
I am currently on my Tier1 extension visa. When I try to register for "Life in the UK" test I have been asked to enter
"Home Office Reference Number". Looking at the Tier1 extension Home office Approval letter I can see there is a "Our Ref :" as
PB2838383876/001

Could you please advice whether this is the Home Office reference number that I need to enter while registering for the
Life in the Uk test ?

don't think thats mandatory - As i left mine blank and it still went thru !!
