small query plz

Post by navalaviator » Tue Aug 02, 2011 8:52 pm

I just need to know that am on a spouse visa and will apply for the ILR next year but today i had a small argument with my wife which resulted in police being called to my house but they did not take me to the police station or took finger prints or any thing and the police officer just acted as a mediator between me and my wife and solved our dispute and told us that its a rather personal matter between me and my wife and as i haven't done any thing wrong so we should solve it together instead of calling the police.

So i need to know that in the light of above scenario will it be considered as an offence, warning or caution which could affect my ILR?

Is it classed as a conviction or warning or anything?

Thanks

You may want to check this post. Though your case looks far less severe.

Thanks for ur reply adamboston.

1.I need to know that if some body is cautioned then how that person comes to know that he has been given a formal caution?I mean is it some sort of official police form or finger prints taken or letter which states that you have been cautioned or warned ?

2.I also need to know that if you receive a police caution or reprimand then are you taken to the police station to do the formal procedure to be cautioned or reprimanded ?

because in my case I have not been taken to the police station or finger printed and the police officer even did not tell me any thing about caution or warning ?

thanks

Either by getting a CRB disclosure or making a Subject Access Request to your local police authority (SAR costs only £10).

Yes. See Fingerprints, photographs and DNA samples.

Your case doesn't sound like of police caution. But still worth checking through CRB or Police SAR.

Hello,

I would be grateful if some body could please reply to my following two queries.

I applied for the Subject access report and I received it few weeks ago which showed ''No Information held on the PNC''

1.Does it mean that I do not have any sort of criminal record or any other information on the police national computer?

2.Do I have to still disclose the above chat with the police officer (Police officer called it a chat himself) in my ILR application?

Thankyou.

1. Yes.
2. No. You don't need to disclose your 'chat' with the police officer
