Extension of Tier 1 and Dependant visa

Post by developer101 » Sun Jan 08, 2012 5:02 pm

Hello every one,

I was first granted Tier 1 General Migrant visa on 07 April 2009.
I submitted my appication on 30 march 2009. I secured my points with Bachelor's degree. Masters degree requirement was started from 31st.
Any ways I will be applying for extension visa in March 2012. And I will be applying for claiming points on bachelor degree as if my first application was submitted before 31 march 2009 which is fine in my case. But will i need to prove that I submitted application before 31 march 2009 as I dont have the receipt when I appled visa first.

Second question is. I got my visa in 7th april 2009 but I first entered in UK on 5th november 2009 then only after one month I went back to my home and stayed there for 3 months almost. Then i came back to UK and stayed for 6 months and then again I went back to home for 3 months. So In year 2010 i just stayed in UK for 7 months. In 2011 i didnt go home. Will my absence in 2010 will effect my visa extension?

My third question is dependent visa. I am a Pakistani national. I will marry after my visa extension. For some reasons i will not travel to pakistan but get married over phone (later on I will travel for proper ceremony). This is permissible in Islamic religion. My family will be in pakistan also. After getting married we will prepare marriage contract and this is legal. Will this be enough to get dependant visa or do I need to go to pakistan and only after marriage ceremony we can apply for dependent visa? Whats the possibility of getting visa for newly wed?

Thanks.

Re 2nd question, it shouldn't be a problem if you have enough points for extension.

Re your third question, phone nikah is not accepted for UK visas any more.

Hi,

For Q1, you do not need to submit any proof to show that you had claimed points under Bachelors, it is understood that as you got the visa after claiming Bachelors Degree points.
In your current extn. form you should tick the box against H4. Evidence previously provided with the applicant’s initial Tier 1 (General) application (Pg. 33)

Hope this helps.
