Morning All

Hi Guys here is a question from me again

Like in HO website its mention that you don't have to apply for PR if your parter was exercising the treaty etc.

I had been married for 5 yrs since Dec 2006 and my wife is exercising her treaties from Jan 2007 till now just for one month she was out of work as we were relocating to a new place.

Previously when I entered UK with my wife the IO always asked me question what you do? wher you both live and where you work etc etc) just 3-4.

But this time when we came and we gave our id/passport to the IO he scanned both or swap and just gave back to us without asking any question.

My question is that do you think guys that HO automatically update PR status on their system and IO can see it.?

Many Thanks

No.

How would the HO know your wife has been exercising treaty rights for the past 5 years? Based on your logic, there is no need to provide any evidence when applying for PR.

More likely, there was a long queue behind you or the IO was just tired or he decided that as you have been living in the UK for several years now there is no need to ask questions. You might get questioned again next time.

When in the non-EU line the IO are used to ask questions. Less when they are in the EU line. With RC you can use the EU line and you will probably get asked less questions (unless the IO starts to insist you use the non-EU line which is wrong).

No matter which line you use, RC holder don't need to fill in a landing card.
