Salary requirements

Post by tier_2_applicant » Mon Jan 16, 2012 5:53 pm

Hi,

I am applying for an extension of Tier 1 visa and will be applying for ILR in 8 months time.
My question is around the salary that I will have to show at the time of ILR application.

1) Will it have to be more than what I show for Tier 1 extension?

In my case even though the earnings at the time of ILR application will be more than what I need to get the required points, it will be just 60% of what I plan to show at the time of Tier 1 extension.

2) I read an earlier post and it seems that if the salary earned has not increased (or atleast remained the same) over the years, it is taken negatively. Is it so?

3) Should I reduce the amount of salary that I show at the time of extension (i.e. instead of mentioning 12 months' salary, I will only mention what is necessary to get required points)?

4) Does the same hold for maintainence funds? (If my account has minimum balance of £3,000 now and only £2,000 at the time of ILR application, will it be viewed negatively?)

Could moderators/Gurus please help.

Many thanks.

1. No
2. No
3. not required
4. maintainence funds is not a mandatory document. You only need to show that you are economically active. Which mean earn sufficiently and pay your tax.

Thanks Chikky.
I understand that there are no official rules that mandate a rise in income but based on earlier posts I have some doubts.

Could the Gurus/Moderators confirm.

Thanks.

Even if you are earning less than the last tier-1 visa, you will still be fine.
As long as you qualify 75 or 80 points, home office doesn’t care.
