Go for extension or not?

Post by jkks » Wed Jan 18, 2012 5:09 pm

Hi, I haven't got dependent visa for my new born child as I thought of applying the visa for him when I apply for the extension (my Tier1 visa will be expired on this June).

Now I am in in the oscillation of applying extension for my family however I am planning to extend my visa alone. I have few queries, please can anyone respond.

1. Would it be any issue if my new born child travel to India without Visa?
2. In case if I want to bring my family to UK sometime this/next year, whether they have to apply for Tier1 dependent or Tier1 dependent extension?
3. Will this cause any issue if we apply PR in future?

Thanks in advance

Are you a clock  I have only heard of pendulum oscillations.

1) Your child can travel but while returning you'd have to get the dependant visa from Hindia

2) All your dependants need to have a valid dependant visa else they won't be able to enter UK. So you'd have to apply for dependants visa / extension from Hindia.

3) There is nothing like PR in UK. You only have ILR and for ILR your dependant should have been in UK for 2 yrs.
