Sending in ALL passports

Post by tonynz » Fri Jan 27, 2012 3:06 pm

Hi there,

Was informed in another thread that I need to send in all of my passports.

I currently hold a New Zealand passport and also a Taiwanese passport which I keep in a safe place back in NZ.

Should I have sent in both?

This would mean that you have more than one nationality. You would have filled that section on your application I believe.

Have you ever used your Taiwanese passport to travel to UK? If not then you don't need to submit it.

Sending in all passports that you used to travel to / stay in UK is important. If you haven't used one of the passports to travel to / stay in UK then you don't need to worry about it.

Great, thanks for the answer.

Never used it to come to the UK, in fact haven't used it for years and years now.

But did you mention in your application that you have held Taiwan nationality earlier?

The other question: You wanted to use it to travel out from UK, how would you prove how you came in if you have never used it to travel? As this has not been used, it won't have a valid visa for UK and you won't be able to travel out or in from UK and might end up getting in trouble with immigration officers at the airport.

Yes, I did disclose it.

Better stay in the country for the next two months.

Thanks!
