Will try to be brief.
A friend of mine none EEA National came in with a student visa, while studying, he met a girl and they fell for each other and got married during xmas. Before she got married, she was instructed by the Doctor to give up her work due to her previous pregnancy had some complication (blood Clots) but i didn't want to be to nosy by asking him too many details about it.
During xmas his wife had miscarriage. now he is looking to applying for RC.
Question.
Whats his chances of been successful with his application knowing his wife isnt exercise her treaty right at the moment? Please any advice will go along way thanks.

tell him to have a private insurance or if she has ehic from non uk then she will be fine as they will ask proof of insurence...

One can exercise treaty rights by being self sufficient. You don't need to be a worker.

As Punjab pointed out, self sufficient require a private medical insurance to cover both of you in order to be considered exercising treaty rights.

Get insurance and then apply for a Residence card using from EEA2.

A person will need to demonstrate to a decision maker that they are indeed Self-Sufficient or have sufficient resources in addition to the Comprehensive Sickness insurance in order to qualify.

She might not need to produce evidence of above, if wife can show she meets the criteria under Regulation 6(2a)
