Immigration advisor complaint

Post by raamu » Wed Jan 25, 2012 2:24 pm

Hi,

I suppose to apply ILR on 24th.When i approached a immigration advisor who is refered by friend as i can't take leave to goto croydon. This guy charged me £450 as his fee and i paid the money.

Then he said we will meet in his office and complete the application procedure.Because he appeared to be geniune initially and my friend refered him i paid the my application fee as well to him before i reach his office on his request by email. The application fee is 3800+ for me and my 3 dependants.Next day i went there to meet him and he said i stuck some where else so asked me come the next day.I had to drive nearly 60 miles to him again. This guy was there and just looked at my application and said they all fine.

When i tried contact him from next day his mobile was not reachable. When i called his office they said he is india and he will come back only after 1st week of february. When i send mail to him to pay my money back he said your appointment booked on end of Jan and after that there is no communation from him.

When i enquired about him now i'm getting varius stories about his behaviour.Without this money i can't go to ILR on my own.Can anyone please advice me is there any legal way to get my money back.

File the police complaint(Cheating case) with the proofs of your money transfer to him.

I checked the OISC site. They said they can't deal with refunds and compensation. Also they will take six months to complete the investigation.

3.IELTS pass letter
4.cohab letters

The 'Releiving letter' you mentioned. Can you please elaborate what this is.
I had a work permit previously and now a Tier 1 visa. When I left my work permit related job - i need to show some sort of releiving letter for that job?

The service name is 'Incrdible imigration service'.

The section 10L set(o) form - "For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules."

One of my friend doesn't have any documenst to submit on this cateogeory.Caseworker asked him if he has releiving letter from the employer of that work permit that would be sufficient.
