Can you please give more details about your application and the exact reason cited on the rejection letter ?

I applied in Croydon PEO, but they didn't give an answer on the same day, it has been passed to a further enquiry. A month later I received the postal of refusal. The reject reason is due to my total absence of 204, because they think I am going for travelling is part of my job, not compelling reason. Even company letter explained I am the most suitable person in the position.

Did your company letter specifically address your absence of 120 days at a stretch and explain reasons why the trip was necessary for business?

In my view, the letter explained very well about my trip.

Thats really surprising cos as per thier policy they will use thier discretion to disregard/agregate excess absences if they were for business reasons.

i am in a similar situation with a business trip of 97 days at a stretch, my appointment is next week.

please can you confirm what documents did you submit and whether you have been employed by the same company? also did they contact your employer as part of thier verification?

I met a person on the same day as my appointment.
He has around 210 days outside UK in 5 yr period and he said none of that was Business Trips.
Still he was granted ILR.

He said he had written a Covering Letter for the period outside UK, but I didnt ask him the details of the letter.

A lot depends on the case worker when it comes to deciding the period outside UK.

Calos wrote:Guys,

My ILR has be refused due to I have more than 180 days. In my cases, I have business trip for 200 days, only 4 days for annual leave. I have provided very detail company letters plus line manager letters, HO still reject it. All tax and NI were from UK. Among those 200 days, I have a single stretch of 120 days.

I am looking for any previous experiences have successful reapplied in second time of ILR after first rejection.

Thanks.
m.j, calos has mentioned that he had a single stretch of 120 days absence.

Calos wrote:The refusal letter didn't mention about a single stretch of 120 days, it referred to a total number of 204 days. The reason they gave was due to none of those business absences were short in duration and in total exceeding the six months and no specific evidence was provided to show that there were any compelling or compassionate reasons for those long absences other than it was merely a part of my job.

Noted I mentioned in the company letter, it was due to a very urgent bidding, I have to stay there for a bit long. But it doesn’t work in casework’s mind.
hmmmm sound like your evidence was not strong enough . can you list what docs you provided to cover your absences ?
see in your message 'no specific evidence was provided to show that there were any compelling or compassionate reasons ' .. its says you didnt specify your business trip like what was the specific work you carried out ?
