ILR time

Post by ChWhaider » Sat Feb 11, 2012 2:17 am

Hi
I entered the country on HSMP back in Aug 2008. My extension was refused in Aug 2010 but tribunal allowed us to stay and visa extended till Dec 2013. Now I was going through the application for ILR and guidance notes and wanted to clarify the following points:

1- Would my earning points would be the same as before? 40+ gets you 45 points?

2- I believe I have to score the same points as on my extension (over all) which was 75 or has this changed?

3- My 5 years will be completed on 19th Aug 2013. Shall I wait till Nov 2013 to apply for visa or apply as soon as my 5 years are up which is on Aug 2013?

4- Would my wife has to pass the Life in UK test aswell?

5- Are there any major changes / information which I need to be aware of?

I would really appreciate if some one could kindly clear the above points.

Many thanks

C W Haider
