Driving without insurance is a strict liability offence. It is no defence to say that you were not aware that you did not have insurance.Smallfamily wrote:Well HO can say that if it wasn't ur fault (even if you attach a covering letter) then why you had to get 6 points on ur licence? If it was ur company's mistake then they should have faced those points not you!
I know you were driving but it was company's car not urs so technically ur comapny was responsible for the insurance as well as for the points so u should have apealled against the points.
So my thinking is you have a 50-50 chance but let see what others say on this...
Note: Driving without insurance does come under major offence
I'm afraid there is no way in my knowledge through which u can revoke ur points...need to Know wrote: Can I have the points revocked? Is this a possibility?
I agree wait until the conviction is spent...need to Know wrote:I think it probably best to leave the application till the conviction has been spent.Greenie wrote:Strict liability means that it doesn't matter if you were aware of it or not, if you were driving without insurance, you are guilty of the offence.
