Tier 1 extension with Dependant-PEO Croydon - success Story

Post by haivenky » Thu Feb 23, 2012 10:12 pm

Hi Friends,

First of all thank you for the one who helped me.

Y’day I had an appointment for my Tier 1 extension with one dependant (Spouse).
I have got the approved letter from case worker,y’day.

Documents carried:

1) Bank Statements
2) Pay slips
3) Employee reference letter.
4) Passports
5) 2+2(my wife) photos
6) Original Marriage Certificate.
7) Photo copies of 1,2,3.

Safer side I have taken following documents also (Which I have already submitted on my first Tier 1 VISA application)

1) Date of birth certificate
2) Education Certificate

My appointment time @ 9:50 hr. Reached at 9:00hr.
As usual

a) Security check – 10 mints
b) Went to another counter for application verification. Given ticket number.
c) In 1st floor paid the amount by debit card – it took avg 15 mints for each application.
d) 2nd floor they called my token number after 30 mints. Submitted my application forms and passport. He verified and entered the data into his system. It took 15 mints.
e) After 40 mints Called for bio metric. It took 10 mints.(Y’day their Systems are down so it took longer than usual time )
Questions : Have to give bio metric in any police station or post office
Ans: No
Q: Which year you given your bio metric for UK VISA
A: ) The year which I got the VISA.
Filled small form with signature.

f) After that again waiting for my ticket number. After 1:30 hr called my number.
g) Case worker asked my Bank statements, payslips, employee letter, passports and applications. She didn’t take my other certificates even I have mentioned them.
Question : Employed or Self-employed.
Asw : Employed. She said I am very happy to hear that.
Q ) Are you applying with same qualifications which was in your first applications
A ) Yes.

h) She told, today systems are down it will take long time. So if you want you can go out and come after 1 hr.
i) After 1hr she called me and told that my VISA got approved and my BRP cards will come to home within 5 working days. :D

I have applied 3 months early; I have got the VISA from y’days date only.

Hope this will help.

Thank you

Congrats!

How difficult was it to book an appointment date? Did you have to try very hard? Was the date very far off?

Congrats, I was there on 22nd February but I was not that lucky as you are. The system was down on 22nd February and after wasting my whole day (from 10 to 5), I came back with empty hands & a rescheduled date of 28th February. :)

@bond.boy

Visa validity from 22nd Feb(decision day) 2012 to 22nd feb 2014 only. 3 months are not included.

Any way I have to go for another extesion. So 3 months didn't effect me.

@haivenky - Congrats !!

@tahirnaveed - I'm also in the same situation like yours. I think we need to carry 2 letters which gave to us along with any additional supporting docs right isn't it??

Do keep posted your experience.

It's very weird, she should not have asked the letter and it is not required.

You mentioned that you have submitted 'Employee reference letter' what is that letter is it mandatory? Did case worker specifically asked for it?

3. If I get original marriage certificate then enough but don't need marriage
