ILR success

Post by mazuv » Fri Feb 24, 2012 12:35 pm

Hi all

I have been following the forum since last December when I had all but lost hope that my passport would return. This forum has been a real source of encouragement during those dark days. Especially knowing that there were other people out there going through the frustration and anger and disappointments too.

Here is my timeline:
Documents submitted 28 Sep 2011
Passport received 23 Feb 2012
Stamp in passport 09 Feb2012

Thank you.

And if anyone is considering whether to post their application or to present in person.......DO NOT DO A POSTAL APPLICATION!!

I think with the UKBA it depends on who the caseworker who is dealing with your application and the your UK immigration history, in terms of how long your application is processed. My ILR took 5weeks to be processed from the day I got my acknowledgment letter from the UKBA.

I know postal applications can take some time but if your case is straightforward there is no need to worry.
