maintenance fee

Post by dereka » Wed Feb 29, 2012 5:01 am

please i like to know if there is any danger in me drawing below the required maintenance fee (GBP800) for renewal at any point in time within the 90 days.

Is it a case of closing daily balance not less than GBP800 or balance at all times over the 90 days.

I accidentally got a direct debit hit on my account, which i quickly balanced up within minutes.

I'd appreciate responses.

The documents must show that you have had at least £800 in your account at all times over the three-month period.

I'm not sure, but if you immediately balanced it up, I suppose you have another account or some other source? (unless you deposited cash)
If you do, why not submit evidence for both accounts/sources? As far as I understand you're allowed to show maintenance funds from more than one source, as long as the total adds up to at least £800 available to you at any time during the 90 days before applying.

does your bank statement show balances after each transaction or just at the end of the day?

For your case, it has to be a balance of £800 at the end of each day transaction of the 90days.

I don't think you can use 2 different accounts for it - though logically correct, but not "home office" correct.
